But ...

Where is that drawing register ?

#

This is where Drawing Central comes in. By managing a project-based configuration system to reduce confusion. It also has an extremely easy to use interface. You can work with perfectly standard title blocks and excel files. Once your drawing has been configured it knows exactly where to find the project file and therefore the correct drawing register. This allows for the other part of the equation. Automation. Now you have this “link”, you can automatically update (or sync) your drawings with the latest project data.

Currently, Autodesk® products AutoCAD®, Inventor® and Revit® are compatible with this application. This gives single users, or multi-disciplined project teams, the ability to share a “centralised” version of the drawing register. For example, using Drawing Central in a "cloud" based environment such as Autodesk® Plant 3D® and Advanced Steel® in a BIM 360® collaboration.

"We've been using this for number of years now and the time it saves updating titleblocks is incredible! We have customised our titleblock to suit our needs and using the Excel spreadsheet to automatically update eliminates the risk of missing data. As well as using it for AutoCAD, we use it for Inventor and are now starting to use it with Revit and Advance Steel."
